Writing

I am a freelance writer, olfactory artist, curator, and art education practitioner based in Berlin. I have been writing about art since 2014, contributing to SLEEK Magazine, The Art Gorgeous, Reflektor M, Coeur et Art, POSITIVE Magazine, and other publications across print and online formats. My writing covers exhibition reviews, artist interviews, and cultural commentary.

Writing has been part of my life since childhood, when I filled notebooks with poems and stories long before it became a profession. Travelling from an early age with my first art teacher, Elena Stoica, gave me the chance to be exposed to art internationally through galleries and museums, and taught me to observe the world around me with a critical eye. That early immersion shaped my understanding of art and institutions, and the changes I witnessed over the years, in ways that continue to inform my writing today. One of my earliest and most lasting encounters came at the age of 8, when I visited the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The experience left a deep impression that has never faded, and needless to say, O’Keeffe remains one of my favourite artists to this day.

My formal studies took me from Fine Arts to an M.A. in Creative Communication for Cultural Heritage at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, where I began shaping my professional voice and specialised in Cultural Marketing, with a focus on the promotion and communication of cultural goods, museums, and institutions. Originally from Romania, I have since lived and worked in Bucharest, Milan, Vienna, and Berlin, cities that have each found their way into my work. Writing in English, Italian, and German has shaped both my voice and the way I move across different cultural contexts. Alongside my editorial work, I have written artist biographies and press releases for my clients and collaborators.
